Badboy's

Something for the Badboy's

15.08.13- The SKINNY.

Something came to mind when I was at the David Bowie Exhibition in London a few weeks ago, a kind of WTF moment.....During my years as a stylist, I've come across many an open minded burly man who had yet to adopt the thigh hugging style. Even when sugar coating the term with words such as tapered, slim or even tailored, men still seem to view it as being too fashion forward. Whats the deal guys?

How can you not respect and adore a style which came about in the 50's and was trademarked by the likes of Elvis Presley, James Dean, Mick Jagger, The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, The Libertines and The BEATLES! Skinny jeans are the ultimate bad boy, rock and roll staple. Its a look that you could dress up and down, wear with a biker jacket or a tuxedo jacket- versatility, practicality and pure BB. If you're a prepster get them in red, green or daffodil blue. If you're a geek chic kind of guy, get them in charcoal or in different browns. There is a colour and style for every single guy out there...

Gone are the days where Hip Hop came along and influenced fashion to the point where hiding under an excess of material was ok. So men of today, I say burn your jeans that are two sizes too big and hanging down your arse and adopt the SKINNY.As once you go Skinny, you never go back.

13.08.13- Über fashion BB crush of the week....  "Johannes Huebl".

Since I read that his major sartorial pet hate was men in flip flops and Summer scarfs, my delinquent crush began. He's always been the guy that I epitomised as my quintessential "GQ" guy. A guy that dresses with ease and rarely ever puts a foot wrong. I guess his chiselled features and school boy smile didn't hurt either. The ever dapper other half of Editorial magazine favourite, Olivia Palermo, has lately been upping his style game to form what I call my fashion SUPER couple. The boarding school educated model turned Brooklyn-based photographer charms with that distinct German accent and his suave attire.  Suits, suits suits...  always brings out that modern- day discretely elegant BB.
